Thick walls, a church at the window

The guesthouse is an old farmhouse with thick walls, standing on the historic church site of Kálfafellsstaður in Suðursveit. From the rooms you can see the church, Kálfafellsstaðarkirkja.

Around 1900 the old church here was held down with chains against the storms — the chained church.

Around the house: a garden and quiet countryside, with fishing and hiking nearby, and the Þórbergur Þórðarson centre close by.
